in other home decorating news. tomorrow i am getting this vintage sofa set. tomas thinks this set is horrifically ugly and i don’t necessarily disagree with him but i do have a long love affair with ugly vintage sofas. my house is kind of full of ecletic furniture already and my current sofa is RUINED by photoshoots and dogs and being moved repeatedly. i will never buy a light colored sofa ever again. it’s just absolutely wrecked. someone who worked for me burned my current sofa with a cigarette shortly after i got it and since then i haven’t cared about it at all. i have kept it for far too long and i will fully welcome this saucy-grandma set into my house with open arms.

9 ft sofa. 6 foot love seat. perfect for me and a friend to have one all to ourselves while we nap and watch movies.

one night a bunch of people from @godsgirls went and got drunk at @melodiegore’s birthday party. later i talked everyone into going to vegas. we never actually went to vegas because i realized that i had no ID but some mariginal preparations were made for our trip, regardless. that included removing a huge box of books from @lifegrd31’s car in order to make space for more vegas-goers to fit. the box came into my house and it hasn’t left. @lifegrd31 has since left california though and tonight i put his books into my book shelf. i feel a little funny about it because i seem to have inherited books belonging to a person who really loves books. there are a lot of great taschen books and some anais nin and the stranger and other books that make statements about their owner. so now i have decided that i am just indefinitely giving these books a place to sit.

i am going to be very indulgent this week. i plan to eat all of my favorite bad foods and/or visit all of the restaurants where i tent to over indulge myself.

this should begin with a deep dish pizza and masa tomorrow. supposedly this place has a pizza that is very much like a true chicago deep dish. yelpers say to ask them to add extra cheese to get it as genuine as possible. i’ve never had a chicago style pizza but i want to try it. this is as close as i can get. i will probably love it since i won’t be able to recognize any of it’s inauthenticies. is that a word?

mid week it will be my brother’s birthday and we are headed to providence— one of the foremost restaurants in the US and my personal favorite to do a 9 course tasting menu. amazing.

i also want to try to put korean bbq on my agenda for this week. also ribs and pork shoulder at this place called bludso’s which is in long beach or compton or something. after that i want to head to whittier and eat at a place i read about online called arturo’s fluffy taco.

if there is anything delicious and fattening/unhealthy you want to take me to eat then this week is the time. after this week i am returning to my roots and cooking healthy food at home. no more eating out. for various reasons.
